Wale load of rubbish!

Wale? Supposedly pronouced "wah-lay", but more likely should read "wail" as that's what his offering made me do. Tears to my dry eyes. Never mind Gaga pathetically repeating the cheeez from 'hey jude' throughout the song; in the video Wale goes through a paper banner with the words "I have a dream" on them - sorry, sir, are you referring yourself to the saviour of all black people Mr Luther-King, a true legend of modern history? Really? Reeeally? Also, "my name is Wale" is not a lyric you dolt.
BUT it is catchy and annoying, so lets watch this one va-va-voom up the charts as moronic teenagers clap to it like zombies. Groan.

Here's the video - watch it if you dare:

Moving swiftly on, here's something new for your liking - a remix on a James "soul king" Brown number. It's a great effort by a guy called Parker who is part of the Goodgroove Records label. It certainly is an inventive effort. It is a little hard to get hold of though, and Youtube hasn't yet got a video for it. Click here and it will be the first song you'll see. Check it out.

Live Lounge time now. I love the live lounge because it's everything music should be; live, real and about the sharing of ideas. Which is the best of the Live Lounge efforts, though? It might just be the "best of you" as done by Stereophonics. If you haven't heard it yet, get ready for something great:

La Roux really has hit the ground running with In For the Kill and Bulletproof - Well it turns out she's gonna keep her legs pumping for a while yet. Tigerlilly is her latest venture, and despite the fact that it's a bit samey as her other ventures, it's all round pretty good. Wait about 7 days and I'll have a bajillion remixes all lined up, no doubt =P

Some interesting La Roux Facts for you:
1. In for the Kill wasn't La Roux's first effort, it was 'Quicksand' - click here to watch the video
2. La Roux may well sing the tunes, but it is producer Ben Langmaid that has come up with the great beats
3. La Roux's self-titled album is out, and it really is very very good.
4. I'm Not Your Toy is La Roux's best song according to popular opinion. I think it's This remix by Last Japan, called the Scream Re-Edit. Word of warning - this will sound terrible on a Laptop as the whole song is basically just BASS!
